This memorial site was created by Lynne (Wife), Natasha and Michael (daughter and son-in-law), Darren (son) and Josh and Aleesha (grandchildren).

Paul Avison sadly left us on Sunday 12th August 2007 4.40am aged 47 at Pilgrim hospital Boston in Lincolnshire.

He was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer on the 3rd July 2007, he was given a minimum of 6 months but sadly passed away just 6 weeks later.

Paul lived in the small village of wrangle all his life. He managed to see varoius different countries as a lorry driver. He was a owner driver running one lorry in his own business which he ran with his wife Lynne.

He sadly leaves behind his wife Lynne(47), 3 children Natasha(24), Natalie(23) and Darren(10). Son in law Michael(24) and 3 grandchildren Josh(5), Jack(2) and Aleesha(1).
He also leaves behind his mum and dad (Jack and Ena), his brother and sister in law(Dean and Julie) and his sister (Jackie) and many more close family and friends.

He was a devoted family man and dedicated his weekends to his wife, children and grandchildren. Weekends were always fun although he was at work all week abroad, he always made sure he was home at the weekend so he could make the most of what he had.

He loved to be outside as much as possible (weather permitting) with his dogs. He always had something to do outside wether it be washing or fixing his lorry ready for another clean safe week of work ahead. In the summer months he also loved to have a bbq with his family and friends, where he loved to show off his quad biking skills(or not!). This was the highlight of his week.

He had a wonderful sense of humour he never called anyone by their real name he had a nick name for each and every one of us, so if you didnt have one he obviously didn't know you.

There are no words to describe just how much he meant to us, he was everything and more, to know him was to love him and he will be missed eternally.

So all thats left for us to say is rest in peace and we will love and cherish you forever and we will always keep your memory alive.
Always in our thoughts and forever in our hearts. xxxx

A thousand times we've needed you,
A thousand times we've cried.
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
A heart of gold stopped beating,
Two twinkling eyes closed to rest.
It broke our hearts to prove they only took the best.
Never a day goes by that you're not in our hearts.

Tributes

It's 4 years today since you went to sleep.
But in our thoughts you here for keeps.
What we wouldn't do to have you here.
Even though we feel your near.
Your smile, your laughter, your pet names too,
We hold in our hearts forever and ever.

A husband, a dad and a grandad too.
Nobody could ever compare to you.
You were and are the best by far.
So now you are our shining star.
By day you stay out of sight.
But by night you shine the brighest light.

We will love and miss you forever.

TO MY WONDERFUL DAD.

You were my inspiration,
You were my perfect guide.
If I grow up to be just like you,
It will be with sheer delight.

There's not a day goes by,
That my heart doesn't cry.
To see your smiling face,
Would make this a better place.

But alas you can't be with us,
So a life without you we must face.
So I will do my utmost best,
To do my very best.

I will work so very hard,
To get the best of marks.
So that when work starts,
It will be an easy task.

You taught me right from wrong,
And made me very strong.
So to make you proud of me,
Would be my greatest joy.

Love and miss you always dad.

For you a very special Dad and Grandad

They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal,
But neither time or reason,
Will change the way we feel.
For no-one knows the heartache,
That lies behind our smiles,
No-one knows how many times,
We have broken down and cried.
We want to tell you something,
So there wont be any doubt,
Your so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to be without.

Lots Of Love Always

Three years today you left us,
It broke our hearts in two.
But we know that you are with us,
In everything we do.

Although we cannot see you,
Or hear your laughing voice.
We know what you'd be thinking
And telling us to do.

So my darling I really miss you
But I feel you by my side.
I love you more than ever,
since the day you went away.

Will love and miss you forever.
So until we meet again.
keep beside me always.
And love me all the way.

Your everloving wife,

For a very special Dad and Grandad

We wish that we could see you,
For just a little while.

We wish that we could hug you,
And see your loving smile.

But wishing gets us nowhere,
And longing is in vain.

So we will hold you in our hearts,
Until we meet again.

Lots of love always

Read at Kierans Funeral
Miss Me But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no tears in a gloom-filled room,
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little – But not for long
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me – But let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone,
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to your friends that we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good works,
Miss me – But let me go.

Perhaps if we could see the splendour of the land
To which our loved ones are called from you and me,
We’d understand

Perhaps if we could hear the welcome they receive
From old familiar voices all so dear
We would not grieve.

Perhaps if we could know the reason why they went
We’d smile and wipe away the tears that flow
We’d wait content

Miss me – But let me go

Grandad

Somewhere beyond the sunset,
Where happiness never dies,
You live in beautiful garden,
Above the clear blue skies,
Although we cannot see you,
You're with us everyday,
And all the love we have for you,
Will never fade away.

Lots of love forever
